Coffee
My second caffeine love, coffee. I would say I did not start drinking coffee until the very end of high school. And even through college, the only type of coffee I drank was highly-sugared and drowned-in-milk. My parents used to laugh at me that I was drinking milk with coffee flavoring. But in the past few years, I have developed a love for pure black coffee, certainly thanks to the popularity of third-wave coffee joints. Now I participate in cuppings, grind my own beans, and make pourovers for myself and friends on the regular. As much as I love tea, it just sits until the perfect moment of pouring. The ritual of coffee making, though, has become a sort of meditation, a process of slowing down, before speeding up my mind with some much needed caffeine. This is my repository of coffee to serve as a memory bank for myself and as a resource for you too.
